I have an elderly cat and his legs are weak and I thought the chews may help with his mobility. It's too soon to tell if they are working, however I will say that although he loves the taste, I have to soak the chews in boiling water and give them to him when they've cooled down because they are too hard for him to chew. A nice soft chew would be much more suited to an elderly animal.

My 10 year old black cat Eddie has showed arthritic pain over the last five years or so. The vet prescribed metformin drops and they appeared to work well but lately his blood tests are showing kidney damage exacerbated if not caused by the metformin. OK, Eddie does not like the chews on their own but I bury them in the last spoonful of food scraped from a small tin and he gulps them down eagerly.
